EN1092-01 TYPE 05 Carbon Steel Blind Flanges PN6 BLFF for Industrial Applications
Introduction:
Thank you for considering Shaanxi Peter International Trade Co., Ltd. We are delighted to offer you our comprehensive range of EN1092-01 Blind Flanges.
Our EN1092-01 Blind Flanges are manufactured to meet the stringent standards set by EN1092-01, ensuring their quality and reliability. These flanges are specifically designed to close off the end of a piping system, providing a solid and leak-proof seal.
By using our EN1092-01 Blind Flanges, you can effectively close off the end of your piping system, preventing any unwanted flow or leakage. Our blind flanges are suitable for various applications and industries where a solid seal is required.
Description of EN1092-01 Carbon Steel Blind Flanges:
EN1092-01 Carbon Steel Blind Flanges are solid steel components without an interior diameter (bore) and are primarily utilized to cap off a pipeline. Unlike most flange connections that allow the passage of air or fluid through an interior opening, blind flanges provide a well-defined termination point for pipe connections or redirect the flow towards another section of the pipe assembly. These blind flanges are particularly suitable in scenarios where a pipeline may require future modifications, such as the installation of valves or fittings to redirect the flow. By opting for blind flanges in such cases, you can ensure a secure and sealed termination point for the pipeline while allowing for potential changes or additions in the future.
Carbon Steel Blind flanges are typically simple in construction, requiring minimal machining compared to other flange types. Due to the absence of a bore, they tend to be heavier. While they are commonly supplied as blanks to align with slip-on and weld neck flanges, we also offer custom machining options. These can include center machining for NPT threads and custom bore holes to function as slip-on flanges without hubs.
In higher pressure applications, blind flanges can be provided with high hubs, which are often a requirement for API 6BX blinds.
These Blind flanges can have different face connections depending on the mating flange. The most popular options are raised face, flat face, and ring joint (RTJ) face seals. Raised face and flat face connections are more common for basic sealing applications, while RTJ is preferred for higher-pressure applications.
In older specifications like B16.1 and certain industrial cast steel standards, blind flanges used to feature a slight recess in the center portion of the raised face. This recess allowed for the end of the pipe to mate with the connecting flange, forming a seal. Larger blind flanges had a concave recess to create a dished head formation. However, these styles are now relatively obsolete, and modern blind flanges without hubs or with hubs are the preferred choice.
By considering these factors, you can select the appropriate blind flange configuration to meet your specific requirements and ensure a reliable and effective seal in your piping system.
