AWWA C207 Standard Steel Ring Flanges Class F(300 PSI) for Waterwork Services
Introduction:
We, Shaanxi Peter International Trade Co., Ltd, take great pride in presenting our extensive range of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges, which are manufactured to the highest standards. With over 20 years of industry experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality flanges that meet the stringent requirements of the AWWA C207 standard.
Our AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges are made using materials that conform to the specifications outlined in the Safe Drinking Water Act. We source steel plates, bars, or forgings with a minimum tensile strength of 50,000 psi [345 MPa] and a minimum yield strength of 32,000 psi [221 MPa]. These flanges exhibit excellent elongation properties, with a minimum of 18% for a 2" [50 mm] gauge length or 14% for an 8" [200 mm] gauge length. Additionally, we ensure that the carbon content does not exceed 0.35%, while the phosphorus and sulfur contents are limited to a maximum of 0.04% and 0.05%, respectively.
To ensure the durability and reliability of our flanges, we supply them with bolts and studs made to ASTM A193 B7 specifications. The accompanying heavy hex nuts are manufactured in accordance with ASTM A194 2H standards, except for flanges measuring 1" and smaller, which feature ASTM A563 heavy hex nuts. We also provide washers that meet the requirements of ASTM F436.
Description of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges:
AWWA C207 is a standard in the United States of America that defines the requirements for steel pipe flanges used in waterworks service. These flanges are available in sizes ranging from 4" to 144" (100 mm to 3600 mm). AWWA stands for "American Water Works Association". The origin of AWWA C207 dates back to 1942 when a proposal was put forward to establish standards for slip-on steel-ring flanges for welding to steel water pipes. This standard was necessary because the lowest pressure ratings for steel flanges at that time were those with cold-water pressure ratings of 275 psi (1896 KPa). These ratings were far higher than those typically required for water service, which had a primary pressure rating of 150 psi / 1034 KPa.
AWWA C207 flanges are designed to connect steel pipes, fittings, valves, or other equipment in water utility services. The standard specifies two main types of flanges: (1) ring-type slip-on flanges, which are also called ring flanges or plate flanges; and (2) blind flanges. Both ring and blind flanges are steel flanges that do not have a hub.
AWWA C207 flanges are classified into four classes based on their working pressure limits: Class B (86 psi), Class D (175-150 psi), Class E (275 psi), and Class F (300 psi). These pressure limits apply to customary conditions and temperatures in water utility services.

The Manufacturing Method of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges:
AWWA C207 steel flanges can be manufactured using various methods. These include:
Seamless forgings: Flanges can be produced by forging a single piece without any seams. This method is commonly used for small and medium-sized flanges.
Cut from plate: Flanges can be cut from a steel plate as a single piece. This method is suitable for smaller flanges and offers precision and accuracy in shape and size.
Welded bar rings: Flanges can be constructed by welding bars together in a circular shape. This method is often used for larger flanges where a single-piece construction is not feasible.
Segmented and welded plates: For flanges with a diameter larger than the width of available plate material, multiple segments are welded together to form the flange. All welds in this process must undergo 100% X-ray inspection to ensure quality and integrity.
At Shaanxi Peter International Trade Co., Ltd, we employ advanced manufacturing techniques to produce AWWA C207 steel ring flanges using the most suitable method based on the specific requirements and size of the flange. Our focus is always on ensuring the highest quality and meeting the industry standards.
