Introduction:

We, Shaanxi Peter International Trade Co., Ltd, take great pride in presenting our extensive range of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges, which are manufactured to the highest standards. With over 20 years of industry experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted manufacturer of high-quality flanges that meet the stringent requirements of the AWWA C207 standard.

Our AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges are made using materials that conform to the specifications outlined in the Safe Drinking Water Act. We source steel plates, bars, or forgings with a minimum tensile strength of 50,000 psi [345 MPa] and a minimum yield strength of 32,000 psi [221 MPa]. These flanges exhibit excellent elongation properties, with a minimum of 18% for a 2" [50 mm] gauge length or 14% for an 8" [200 mm] gauge length. Additionally, we ensure that the carbon content does not exceed 0.35%, while the phosphorus and sulfur contents are limited to a maximum of 0.04% and 0.05%, respectively.

To ensure the durability and reliability of our flanges, we supply them with bolts and studs made to ASTM A193 B7 specifications. The accompanying heavy hex nuts are manufactured in accordance with ASTM A194 2H standards, except for flanges measuring 1" and smaller, which feature ASTM A563 heavy hex nuts. We also provide washers that meet the requirements of ASTM F436.

Description of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges:

The AWWA C207 standard is a widely recognized American National Standard for steel pipe flanges used in waterworks service, available in sizes ranging from 4 inches to 144 inches (100 mm to 3600 mm). The acronym AWWA stands for the "American Water Works Association", which developed the standard.

AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges are a type of flange that conforms to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) C207 standard. They are commonly used in water supply systems, pipelines, and other applications that require high-pressure, leak-proof connections between pipes.

These flanges are designed with a ring-shaped structure that provides a secure and tight seal between two pipes. They are typically made from steel, which offers high strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. The use of high-quality materials ensures that these flanges can withstand extreme conditions and perform reliably over an extended period.

AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges come in a range of sizes, materials, and pressure ratings. They are available in full face or ring type configurations, and commonly feature bolt holes for easy installation. To ensure a secure and stable connection, they are often paired with bolts, studs, nuts, and washers that meet industry standards.

These flanges are manufactured to conform to strict quality control standards, ensuring that they meet or exceed the requirements set forth in the AWWA C207 standard. They are tested to ensure that they can withstand high pressures and do not leak under normal operating conditions.

The Origins of AWWA C207 Steel Ring Flanges:

The history of AWWA C207 dates back to the early 1940s when the American Water Works Association (AWWA) recognized the need for a comprehensive standard for steel pipe flanges used in waterworks service.

In 1942, a proposal was put forward to develop standards for slip-on steel ring flanges that could be welded to steel water pipes. The goal was to establish uniform specifications and guidelines to ensure the safe and reliable installation of flanges in water supply systems.

The initial focus of AWWA C207 was to address the pressure ratings of steel flanges. At that time, the existing pressure ratings for steel flanges were much higher than what was typically required for water service. The proposal aimed to establish appropriate pressure ratings that aligned with the specific needs of waterworks applications.

Over the years, AWWA C207 underwent several revisions and updates to incorporate advancements in materials, manufacturing techniques, and industry practices. These updates aimed to improve the performance, durability, and safety of steel flanges used in waterworks service.

Today, AWWA C207 is widely recognized and adopted as the industry standard for steel pipe flanges in water supply systems. It provides guidance on dimensions, materials, pressure ratings, gasket selection, and other important aspects to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of flange connections.

The ongoing development and refinement of AWWA C207 reflect the commitment of the AWWA and industry experts to continuously improve the standards and practices related to steel flanges in waterworks service.
